About this picture

Uploads from the gifts I received in last years' Secret Santa!

I was very intrigued by the Russian box and added notes (customs information?).

Maakie (Vor 2 Tagen) #27447689Ouch, that's bad to hear, haha!
I would guess some more generic businesses like bookstores, office supplies stores etc. are maybe interested in buying the space? But even then not many people actually 'see' the shipped package, so it's not really that good of a place to advertise. :P
And that's stupid you can't just use any box. :/ Do they allow it if you 'censor' the brands on it with duct tape or something? I did that in the past when I was using a smaller shipping service than our regular post, which also had that rule, haha!

Technically, you can use any box, but you have to wrap it up in white cloth and use permanent marker to write address on it.

Smarter (Vor 4 Tagen) #27358895No, here these boxes are expensive too, price of largest box is is almost equal to domestic shipping price, because there is no sponsors =)
I don't even know for what auditory these ads can be... maybe storehouse workers? sorting facility's ones? But it's stupid :D
Oh, and we can't use used branded boxes and have to buy clean branded ones (or use nonstandard boxes without ANY extraneous marks, words, logos etc).
By the way, this is old style box on your photo, new boxes have different design, and there is no place for ads at all %)

Maakie (Vor 4 Tagen) #27356202Aaah! Like that! Then I guess Russian Post gives these boxes away for free or sells them cheap if companies can 'sponsor' the boxes? It sounds like a good idea though (if people would actually pay for advertising lol).
Over here we don't have an advertising possibility like that and it's ridiculously expensive to buy a box from the post office. I always re-use boxes from my own online orders. :P

Smarter (Vor 6 Tagen) #27246567As I can say, I've never seen any advertising in that place. It's like nobody wants to buy that place for ads, so Russian post advertises a place for advertising %)

Maakie (Vor 6 Tagen) #27240472Hrmm, so what is normally stuck on that place of the box? Corporations put a sticker of their logo there?
