At 1423 hrs, Yamato was sunk on April 7, 1945 at the location of 30-22 N, 128-04 E in the depth of 1.410 feet about 50 miles southwest of Kyushu, Japan.

One of a kind! A beautiful yet sad photo telling the story of what the families of the crew that died when Yamato was tragically sunk had to go through. Also kudos for the effort you took in making the nice scenery! Instant favorite!

Such a beautiful and wistful photo. The cuteness with the sorrowful undertone makes the image more powerful.

Reminds me when I was 14. I had a brother who was a US Marine who was killed in action. His USMC cap and shirt were the only mementos I had of him and I cried so hard when I got it.

I got the same feeling now. My boss walked in at me in the break room and asked if I was okay lol I had tears steaming down my eyes
