For hobby search only DHL or surface parcel was offered. Surface parcel was $30, but was a 3-6 month wait with only $100 insurance if lost. Considering this is a $300+ purchase with both girls, I was kind of stuck between a rock and hard place with choosing which shipping method as you can see.
Anyway RIP to anyone ordering the pair of girls from hobby search bc they did not want to explain why they’re charging $200 for shipping to Eastern United States. Anyway, I’m no longer ordering from them. So ridiculous.

They don't decide the fees tho, assuming it's correct.
If the amount is incorrect after arrival you can check the label and open a case about it with that proof if you don't want to order again anyways :) worth a shot?

I hope they end up selling the lantern add-on by themselves, or I can find someone that wouldn't mind selling them. I'd pay $40 each ($80 for both Vanilla and Chocola) + shipping.

Yeah I sent them an email asking for a detailed explanation on why it’s so expensive. I was expecting $100-150 to North America, not $200. They craycray
I got a shipping quote for DHL of around $108 USD to the east coast US for both figures at HobbyLink Japan. They still have the figures in stock, so if HobbySearch is still too expensive to ship, you can still get them at HobbyLink Japan while the stock still last. I'm not sure why HobbySearch's shipping prices are so expensive. Maybe they don't have a good variety of box sizes, along with excessive packaging.
