If there really are non-shady sites selling for $200, please let me know, I'd love to buy it.

Poor lads that don't do their research. Genuine copies of her are still pretty easy to find for a little over 200 before shipping from legitimate shops.

JenthehenVor 2 Stunden#81730950It’s always the case that cheaper prices / good deals will occasionally pop up below market rate. Mandarake is a secondhand business who wants to sell fast, for instance. Collectors price at what they are willing to accept to part with the figure.
It’s just absurd to call collectors on this website who likely purchased 1 copy of this figure “scalpers” regardless of the price at which they try to sell - that just isn’t scalping.
Agreed. They may be know how everything works but forget that "Value" is a relative term for any commodity and anything's actual value is simply what the purchaser will pay for it. Like, what is "overpriced" to you may be perfectly reasonable to someone else. There are figures whose market prices I consider outrageous and unreasonable. But they have achieved those prices because to some people, they are not unreasonable, they are worth it to them. And then there's luck.

XorKoSVor 3 Stunden#81730876Just open you eyes, one of my friends bought here for 23k JPY on Mandarake open like new 1 or 2 weeks ago, and another bought a new one for 25k JPY on i don't remember which .jp website with a proxy.
It's not that hard.
I saw myself one on Jungle a couple days ago for like 200$ too, i called out someone on fb trying to sell her for 500$ and put the link of that one, and it got bought lightning fast.

XorKoSVor 4 Stunden#81730819CURRENTLY you can buy trhis figure in a lot of second or third hand shops for like 200-250 $/€ new or in good used condition.

JenthehenVor 10 Stunden#81727072Except you can’t get the figure in shops anymore. The list price on any given figure no longer matters once it hits the aftermarket. Some figures bargain bin and some skyrocket - that’s how a collecting hobby works. Collectors who sell a figure they bought for whatever the going market rate is are NOT scalpers. I’m so tired of all the whining about high aftermarket prices. Part of this hobby is the excitement of having pieces of your collection become rare and valuable.

Except i exactly know how all this works and i do own a lot of very expensive figures myself too. CURRENTLY you can buy trhis figure in a lot of second or third hand shops for like 200-250 $/€ new or in good used condition.
But here people are selling this figure for like 400-500$ here or in fb group, that's people i call scalpers that try to scam other peoples.

Please try to assess the situation properly before calling me a whiner. It's incredible how people don't understand how any market works here. It's no wonder scalpers have there figure to sell for months, without selling it, and some have it since the figure is released. That's clearly scalpers.

I seriously don't understand why you answered me since all you answer is wrong considering this exact case.

gimardVor 5 Stunden#81730791It will be hard to explain and make those kind of mindset to understand. They equate it with buying and selling in general while they forget they're in 'collectible' realm.
Same as above.
