I think they did a pretty good job staying accurate to the style of One Piece!

I'm just glad his freckles weren't forgotten :')

Bamboo (Vor 6 Monaten) #31072776They are still a new company

I'm sorry to say, but that is by no means accurate at this point. They have several years behind them.

Tsume was founded in 2010 and released products since 2011 for sure. That’s 8 years in the business of making statues/figures.

silentwinter91 (Vor 6 Monaten) #31072928I like his art direction, alot. Alot of ppl do too, about 3-4000 ppl every preorder window XD. If your formula works why change it? People can be haters all they want, the products are still selling out.
If the vast majority of them REALLY had a problem, they can just stop supporting the company. Its already great that we have a company tackling all these anime licenses other companies wouldnt touch.
And no, the fire should never be PVC. Only people that have never seen clear resin would say that.

They are definitely in the money making mode. They raked in over $1 mil with just one figure, and they only need to service 777 customers!! Personally, I feel that they have gone overboard with their recent releases. Maybe they are trying to see if it can work and so far... it does.

No, I didn't know about clear resin. Ummm...... Well, I wish they'd continue and focus on improving quality, effects and artistic etc ... rather than "size". Those 1/4 scale releases are just too much for me.

samkaizoku (Vor 6 Monaten) #31072790I dunno, I don't want you to get your hopes up and then be disappointed.
Since Tsume is mostly a 1-man-show (all about Cyril), I feel the results can always be inconsistent/unpredictable (for the better or worse); Cyril is quite a moody person: he says that he welcomes feedback from the community, but when he receives negative feedback from his customers regarding his products he hits back by saying people are haters, and that they don't understand.
Not exactly a leader in my opinion.

Yeah. Artists can be pretty stubborn. On the other hand, just like piece of art, I can't say that I will agree or like every piece the artist makes. But I trust they'd try their best and I like the fact that they are willing to push limits. I am a big fan of One Piece and bought all the figures but I didn't go for the Whitebeard because I don't like the expression they did! White beard is my most favorite character. Sad! I even wrote them my disappointments for what's worth. :)

Bamboo (Vor 6 Monaten) #31072787Really? I have not paid attention to Naruto figures. But I feel that I can trust them that they'd have good reasons. I just took a look of the Hashirama figure and my guess might be the design and placement of the figure. If the body was made of resin, it probably couldn't be a separate piece and might increase production issue, shipping or displaying safety?! But yes, it's disappointing. It'd feel much nicer and quality if it's all resin.
for this figure, I just can't imagine them using PVC for the body. It's like I believe they won't do re-releases of their limited figures because that's their vision and what made them. However, I can't make them.

samkaizoku (Vor 6 Monaten) #31072768What makes you so sure? Tsume have been inconsistent with what they and what they release; for example, the Hashirama HQS, the golem was resin but the body was PVC.

Just thought to share my experience with TSUME. I have been buying their figures from the early stage. Like many said, I too have struggled with their payment system, long wait time and lack of tracking and distribution delay etc. I used to worry a lot during waiting. But they have always come through for me. They are still a new company, short handed and trying out new things. That's also what make them different. Anyway, while I can't say the same about the production timeline, I feel that I can trust them for the quality and fulfill my order ... eventually.

Bamboo (Vor 6 Monaten) #31072743I am pretty sure the ACE status will be resin. Just the fire will be PVC. it's probably the best material for the effect.
