Planning to order after normal release here as well. Is this the case with many figures? I thought it would likely retain value due to how popular he is!
I wouldn't say many.
But I realized some figure companies that sell via amazon.co.jp have this trend. e.g. Mythos, Standard Nendos (not the Limited / Exclusive ones), GSC, etc...
And they do retain value because after a while prices rise again (I guess when stock gets low) or the figures are sold out and you only have the figure shop options left/after market prices.
