Hagane no Renkinjutsushi - Alphonse Elric (Bandai)Hagane no Renkinjutsushi - Alphonse Elric (Bandai)Review

I've spotted this at online auctions and stores, being passed off as an action figure.

It's not.

It's also very solid and heavy for a plastic figure, so mind that you don't drop it on your foot.

Aside from the fluttering tassel (?) from the head, this Alphonse is very much static-looking, so if you prefer a more dynamic pose, I wouldn't suggest this one. The paint job is surprisingly very good though, and makes me wish that this were posable.

I still haven't determined the exact origin or line of this figure. The blister pack says Bandai Asia (HK), and it does look like a licensed product, but I initially had my doubts.

Knockoff or not, it's a nice figure to have on one's desk.

To Zetsubo-san: thank you for the information! I've seen the rest of the figures in this line, and I thought Alphonse was the best-looking of the lot.

Zetsubo-san I LOVE HUMANS!!! (or do I? XD)
I also have this.
It's an Asiawide release of the Banpresto UFO Prize Fullmetal Alchemist figures which were once Japan exclusives. :)

The whole Japanese set includes Edward Elric (A - with Jacket, B - topless *nosebleeds*, C - with Jacket and automail blade jutting out of his right arm), Alphonse (this), Risa and Roy. The only one which wasn't released Asiawide was the Edward Elric C.

Therefore, this is an official figure. :)
