Hello!

I just joined 4 days ago, and I have 200 hits somehow, despite being new to figure collecting. I've never posted an ad listing or commented on any figure page. Before making this article, I've never written an article or made any comments. Besides those, I've only updated my small collection, edited a few entries from a small, not-so-popular series, and pm'd one user. Plus, I don't think anyone I know personally is using this site. With all these, I'm wondering how I've gained 200 hits in just 4 days. Is it normal for new users to get this many hits? Where are they coming from? What do the numbers next to the hits mean?

Overall, I'm just confused as hell.

Sorry for making this kind of post; I'm a new user here, so there are a lot of things I don't know about MFC.

Update: Thanks to everyone who replied! Now I’m not confused about this topic anymore. Have a good day/night!

EunnieVor 2 Monaten#114032623Right! It's nice to see certain figures are targeted to a certain niche of people here. Bonus points to the people who customize their profile, pretty colors.

I just wanted to say i noticed youre an ely fan and i appreciate your excellent taste ♡

Been here for 9 months and at the time of writing this comment I have 395 hits.
I'm quite an oddball type so no wonder.
It's probably the Jerry avatar ;)

I didn't see this mentioned, but some of those views are likely from bots/web crawlers. A significant amount of web traffic comes from bots, with a decent amount of said bot traffic being search engine crawlers.

KarumiVor 2 Monaten#114032253My question has always been, what is the number in parenthesis vs the larger number? That number is your ranking on mfc in terms of hits. For example, the user with the most hits is ranked (1).

Although, I think it shifts and sometimes starts counting from (0).

Also, for context, I've been on here 8 years, and have 56k hits.

Sometimes it could just be people checking out the type of people that own a figure that they themselves have or are interested. When I started my profile, I only used it for keeping track of upcoming figures via wishlist and listing my orders and that was it. Didn’t interact with anyone at all, didn’t leave comments, no profile picture or any info at all yet I still amassed a couple hundred hits.

Wasn’t till about 5 months later when MFC made it that you had to be logged in to see NSFW figures that I finally decided to do something with the profile and the Man of Cringe was born. So even though my profile may be 2 years old, I still short change that by 5 months since that’s when I actually took an interest in it.

+1 view from me!

I usually check out the articles and their author since I'm always curious about what everyone else is collecting and if we have some things in common, much fun!

I've been here for not a long time as well, slowly working on my profile with stuff and lists.
