Aniplex
twitter.com/ani...

Vertex
twitter.com/VER...

Edit 2: we have an official list of cancelled companies and Garage Kit circles here
wonfes.jp/info/...
the two with the 26th date behind, so the list is expanding to

AmiAmi (which also would host Alice Glint and possibly Vibrastar, exclusives by amakuni and alter they might have distributed)

Milestone (japanese whole seller who is also distributing and showcasing heaps of other companies like Daibadi, Genesis)

Hobby Stock

Spice Seed

Takara Tomy

Tokyo Figure (distributor and usually hosting Hobby Max, Mimeyoi. Licorne, Knead and more at their booth)
"Depending on the situation, we plan to have an alternative event after March."
tokyofigure.jp/...

Update 1st February:

Several more companies cancelled their appearance

Q-Six: twitter.com/Q_s...

KD Colle: twitter.com/KDc...

CA Works: twitter.com/cha...

Orca Toys

Bell Fine

Ken Elephant

Many companies were not planning on participating this year anyway, Skytube/Alphamax had no own booth, so did Flare and Koto has planned to host their Kotobukiya Collection event on the weekend of the 11th to 13th February www.kotobukiya.... instead.
Alter has been Mia for a longer while.

To add more to this, The Winter Wonder Festival 2022 is not out of the red as we speak.
They had a containment plan up were parts did not get approved by the Chiba goverment and had to adapt that literally last week and are now waiting for the new measurements to get approved, otherwise we might see a last minute cancellation of the whole event >.> .

Seems we're finally safe on that front at least

The remaining Companies are

Kaiyodo

Union Creative

Arcadia

X-Plus

Sega & S-Fire

Daiki Kougyou

Volks

Wanderer

Emontoys

Shibuya Scramble Figure

Taito

Sol International

If more companies cancel their appearance it will also be listed here
wonfes.jp/speci...

You can also follow the official wonfes twitter account to get more infos and if it will be hosted in the end.

I really wish you guys would wake up to better news.

Of course they have to host it the same weekend koto is doing their event ... though i'm glad that while they start on the same day, koto will reveal all the new stuff on the 13th, so hopefully the server will suvive the onslaught.

twitter.com/Goo... GSC updated about wonhobby. thought i'd put it here so maybe it would be news worthy. they're now holding it on feburary 11th to 13th. it'll still be in person it seems, unless im reading the tweet/announcement wrong. they'll also be able to be viewed online on the website. seems like some of the cancelled companies will still be participating.

Tsukiko-senseiVor 5 Monaten#106219556So uh, will there be an online exhibition at least just like it happened with Mega Hobby Expo last year?

No news are out yet, just more companies cancelling like KD Colle and CA Works.

Some seem to plan to attend though, like i haven't seen news from Bellfine for example and a good chunk of the garage circles will also attend.

Edit: a bigger update today for those who check in, more companies have cancelled and we have only around 12-13 left in the hall for big companies.

HokutoVor 5 Monaten#106088480for me WF was very useful for planning the next purchases (you could see what companies wanted to focus on in the next months or even years, which series and which characters) and you had tons of photos and news about at what point they were with their products (, prototypes , coloring, finished products, etc.)
now it is much more difficult for the customer to orient himself, maybe you buy one or two characters because you like a series but u dont know if it will be ever continued or completed, or you buy a figure of a character you like but from a company that isn't exceptional because there is only that and after a few months the same character comes out from other companies that work better, or u use all your saving because u want a figure and 2 days after pops up another figure u want more and u have to break your budget

There has definitely been a lot more sudden reveals this past year than for a long time previously. The whiplash is pretty wild after you get so used to a progressive release schedule of information. It is definitely a shitty situation, you'd think companies would still release progress points like sculpts and so on but without wonfes they are giving up.

GingerVor 5 Monaten#106060426I jumped in this hobby about two years ago, so never saw the event before, and basically can't tell how big drama it is, but I completely understand the situation, and had no hope WonFes will happens this year=)
Let’s hope for an online party and stay safe=)

GingerVor 5 Monaten#106067647Too bad have no a clue what’s E3 >.<
Basicly a confrence where big gaming companies (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo) and game developers flex on eachother for who has better games, exclusives and technology for amusement of the people ;p.

Was one of the more important events till like 2010s, but it's importannce dwindled over the last decade.

thargletVor 5 Monaten#106067645Those two will definitely do some kind of event. GSC has already announced they're replanning when they are going to do wonhobby and Native has announced they will do *something*.i really hope they paint some of their prototypes

SenbeiVor 5 Monaten#106067460If you're into video games, just think of Wonfes like the figure version of E3. Big companies pulling out of E3 (Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony) would be equivalent to big names like GSC + Max Factory (Wonhobby) and so on.

Too bad have no a clue what’s E3 >.<
