LORD THIS. Its my money, and if I bought it, its mine :) I'm gonna put it in owned because i own it. Literally, why do people care if I cant physically hold it??? Its not anyone's business anyway. If its not your money dont worry about it.
Why you msg me tho I’m a fellow owned

15 minutes?? I can't believe you think this suffices for such a serious crime!
Also, my mom's gotta be punished as well! She has anime figures in her room, but she dares to not be on MFC!
you are absolutely right!
btw: cool mom you got!

Many already mentioned this, but I guess I'll add it in to clarify since I do this.
To me "ordered" means I have it pre-ordered, so my "spot in line" and figure is already promised to me but not fulfilled because I haven't paid for it yet, If I pre-ordered a figure and already paid it off in full like some sites require then I'll just mark it as "owned" since the transaction has already occurred and it's my property.
We don't really own it though as it's not in our possession and because I think a lot of these vendors can cancel the transaction on their end for ANY REASON they want so long as they provide a full refund, but you get the point.

This isn't as big of an issue, but the arguments used in the comments are honestly wack af. They can be summed up as "I'm lazy and I do what I want." Nothing wrong with doing what you want, but don't cry if someone calls you out on breaking the community guidelines (which were already posted in the comments). Until the item doesn't arrive at your doorstep, it's technically still ordered, even if you already payed it. It also costs like 1 second more to put something on ordered and put the date in the "paid-calendar". Stop writing novels of excuses and just be honest and say that you're lazy, omg.

My memory’s insane I remember everything I’ve ordered and how much I paid for it, I don’t need a site to keep track of things as simple as pre orders when my brain can do it for me

Firstly I don't see why this is even relevant or matters. Majority of those I've spoken to put preorders they've paid for in owned, and preorders they haven't paid yet in ordered.

Genuinely curious - how does this affect other users? Why do MFC statistics matter so much?
I don't mark anything as 'Owned' until it's actually in my hands, even if it's been paid for and shipped, but that's just how I prefer to organize things for my own reference. Then again, I don't have many POs anyway, and don't feel the need to differentiate between paid and unpaid at the moment. Maybe that'll change if I make more POs.

I usually pay up front too, but keeping everything in the "ordered" tab (and just listing the "paid" date when needed) helps me keep track of what hasn't arrived yet and what I need to reserve space for. Plus, I don't have to search through my whole "owned" section every time I want to check a tracking number. I guess forfeiting organizational efficiency for the sake of principle ("I already own this!") seems weird to me, unless you have another way of doing it?

I mostly rely on the MFC calendar to track orders because I like to see it visually, so distinguishing between unpaid and already paid is very useful to me. I pop open the ordered tab of the month and see what figures are coming due for this month (or laugh about how I'll actually spend nothing because they all got delayed lol) then pop over to the owned tab to see when my already paid orders are coming out. That's the main reason I even track orders tbh, just to have the nice calendar updates.

i dont know if anyone mentioned it before but i think some people list it in ''owned'' if they already payed for the preorder and list it in ''ordered'' if they still have to pay for their order.
I was thinking of saying this too - I think someone I know either does this, or puts it in owned after it's shipped. Overall, I think there are a lot of reasons to mark something as owned even without having it physically with you, especially depending on how each person defines ownership of something.
