Hi there, welcome to my diary post!

So I've always wanted merchandise of some of my most favourite characters but unfortunately, sometimes there never is! So a couple of weeks ago I decided that I was going to make my own plushies! (I know, not figure related but I just wanted to share!) After a bit of trial and error, prototyping, testing out my embroidery machine and messing up using the transfer paper, I finally finished my plushes!

I'm a HUGE fan of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (esp Part 5) and so here is Doppio and Diavolo and I think they turned out great! Check them out!

I've got a couple more planned and in the works but as my first 2 plushies, I think it was a success!

So MFC, have you created your own merch for your favourite characters or series? Please share!

Niceee. Gj for a first try, looks good (especially because of the embroidery ahaha)

Yea I made stuff to sell at doujin events before, mostly illustrations. I made a miniature BNHA artbook ~3cm size (suitable for nendo doll) recently.

My mom was considering getting a sewing+embroidery machine upgrade so I was considering brands too, but we're both lazy-ish so not getting anytime soon. How's your embroidery machine? :0

SenbeiVor 1 Jahr#61696528Hey! I remember this acrylic stand! I remember reading your blog post when you made it and thinking, "Wow, this looks soo official!" I think Padparadscha looks amazing!
Thanks! I'm surprised someone remembers it, lol XD I was trying to make it look as 'official' as possible so I'm glad you think so :)

kyoshinheiVor 1 Jahr#61704940The embroidery looks real nice, makes me wish I had a machine like yours.
I've made a few plushies as gifts for friends over the years but when working on details I'm limited to what I can do with felt, dye and basic satin stitch.
My old machine can do dozens of different stitching patterns but sadly no embroidery. It was among the cream of the crop when it came out in the 70s but machines have come a long way since...

Haro plushie I made for the newborn baby of a friend who's a Gundam fan. Had a rough time making it ball shaped. It's got bells inside!
Next are some I've made as birthday presents for another friend who collects geek plushies:

Life-size (155cm) Max from Sam & Max. Why on earth did I even make that monstrosity?! ^^

Ecco the Dolphin made by hand stitching stars on a regular dolphin plushie I had bought #lazy :-p

Yeah the embroidery looks really great! It's a pretty pricy investment though, but sewing, etc is something I have a really growing interest in so it was worth it for me. My previous sewing machine (no embroidery as well) was well over 20 years old, which I still use too! I actually made my plushies with that same machine hahaha

Wow ball shaped plush! That sounds tough! I love your Victreebel! The tentacle and dolphin is cool too! But OMG that life size Max :O It's literally as tall as me!

ActVor 1 Jahr#61704148Ooh, can I ask what brand/model of embroidery machine you used? I'm in the market for one for my own plushies but it's hard to tell what's good for small scale jobs; they all seem pretty industrial. I have a Brother sewing/ embroidery machine
