I’ve reviewed the other one in the set, so here’s my review for Bunny Boy Amber, ITEM #549576. Please note that while there isn’t any nudity in this review, the outfit is pretty risqué and thus most of these images are probably not safe for work. If there is a picture I haven’t marked as NSFW that you think should be, let me know. Also, I apologize for the poor picture quality—I’m using a smartphone camera.

Amber is an original character from Native, although he’s not cast-off. He’s a 1/12 figure, about 3.3 inches tall. Although this adds to the cuteness of the figure and makes him easy to display, the size does lend itself to small paint flaws.

Here’s his face. Amber has a happy, excited expression. His eyes look great. He wears white wrist cuffs. None of the button’s blue paint got onto the white paint of the fabric, which I’m impressed with. Finally, you can also see that his blue bunny ears are shaded, appearing to have some depth.

Here he is from another angle. Here, you can see some of the shading on his skin as well as the curve of his back, both of which give him a more realistic look.

Here he is from another angle. It looks like there are small gaps between his clothes and skin, making his shirt and pants appear slightly loose-fitting.

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2018/12/30/2125370.jpeg

My favorite part of the figure is his hair. It has different shades of orange that are perfectly blended together. His strands of hair are sculpted with a surprising amount of detail.

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2018/12/30/2125371.jpeg

Here, you can see his stomach is sculpted in a realistic way. Also, there’s no paint bleed between the button on his pants and the white of the pants themselves.

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2018/12/30/2125368.jpeg

This is the best shot I could get of his bow tie. The shape of it looks realistic. It’s slightly slanted and one side is somewhat larger than the other. It’s hard to tell due to my camera, but there is a tiny spot of blue paint from the bow tie on his collar, unfortunately.

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2018/12/30/2125367.jpeg

Here he is from the back. His pants have sculpted creases and folds, making them resemble real fabric. It’s a bit hard to see here, but there are speckles of blue paint from his bunny tail on the white pants. This disappointed me, because it’s fairly noticeable.
Here, you can also see the impressive amount of detail on the bottoms of his shoes.

Overall, I think this figure looks very cute and I’m happy to have him in my collection. However, due to his size, there are a few small paint defects that I’m disappointed with. I hope that in the future Native will come out with bunny boys that are larger, because I do think the paint issues are due to their size. Despite my disappointments, though, I love the design of Amber, the pose he’s in, and all the details on his outfit. I would recommend him to anyone who likes bunnies.

broken-ToyboxVor 1 Jahr#47189305May I point you towards this blog: BLOG #41742, it has a lot of useful advice especially concerning lighting and focus.
I think that's the real issue people might have with your review, as these figures are pretty inoffensive even with the outfits looking that way (besides every hommophobic person opening a blog with "bunny boy" in the title should get their shit together x3).

Thanks for the link! I'm brand-new at taking photographs, so that has a lot of advice I can use for next time.

solluxcaptorVor 1 Jahr#47137919I wish these were bigger, the designs are cute and we need more equality in sexy anime figures.
Also lol at all the downvotes on this, it's a great review so I hope you don't take it to heart, I guess some people feel like bunny boys challenge their heterosexuality or something?

Seriously fuck those guys. I'm 100% hetro but gay people need anime figs too

Thanks for saying that! I definitely agree--I hope there are more male figures like this in the future. There's nothing wrong with liking bunny boys, no matter your gender! That said, I can understand people not being interested in more risque figures like this one.
FigyourEdVor 1 Jahr#47145736Yeah, I don't get it. I'm a straight male but I can appreciate the concept and the overall cuteness so there's a broad enough market out there. Figure companies need to just take the plunge. I mean, they've been very successful with ITEM #293234.
I agree--hopefully these and other male figures are doing well enough sales-wise that more companies will take the plunge.

FigyourEdVor 1 Jahr#47125201Great review! It is disappointing on the paint work, especially for a Native product but I get that considering the size. I'm surprised they just didn't go with a 1/8 or 1/7.
Also, could you link the item in your review please?

Thanks! Yeah, I wish they would have gone with a 1/8 or larger. I've heard a lot of great things about Native's quality, and recently got a 1/7 from them that appears flawless, so I think it really is just an issue of these figures being so small.
And thanks for pointing that out; I've fixed it.
CaptainZVor 1 Jahr#47134134Why in the ever loving fuck did someone think it was a good idea to make these 1/12?
I don't collect male scales but I feel bad for the ones that do, you guys got royally skrewed over by these companies.

Yeah, I do wish they were larger. Maybe companies are worried that they won't sell as well and thus conclude that the larger sizes aren't worth the additional cost. I think male scales tend to sell fairly well, though, when they are actually made (at least according to the best-seller lists where I shop), so I'm curious what their reasoning was.
