Hello My fellow Myfigurecollection members, today I’ll be reviewing a Hatsune Miku figure. Ah Miku, so many iterations, so many versions. This one is Hatsune Miku featured in a game, 7th Dragon 2020 I believe.

Illustrated by Miwa Shirow
The figure is based on an illustration by another one of my favorite artists, Miwa Shirow. Like with many of his character designs, the characters have slender bodies with long arms and long legs without it being too excessive like Clamp ehem ehem. It is quite stylised in terms of style and they've managed to capture the essence of the character so well in this figure.
Manufactured by Max Factory, she stands at 1/7 scale roughly 245mm tall (9.56 inches). She was released in 2014 but I’ve only managed to get her late last year.
Without further ado, onto the review

This version of Miku featured a lot of frills and a very classy look for Miku, really making her stand out from a lot of the other modern looking Miku’s around. The corset she wears, the wristbands, the frilly skirt, even her headbands/ headphones are styled consistently. She wears shoes that are reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland. Lots of details on this figure. The design of the corset is certainly unique which makes her look quite tall.

The pose itself is of her opening her arms with her legs crossed, her eyes and mouth wide open. She stands on a checkered pattern base in an oval shape, with the stand being glossy akin to those ceramic tiles. The pose makes it somewhat hard to find different angles to take pictures of her. She has very few photogenic angles to take from in my opinion.
The painting done is quite sublime. Her hair fades from cyan to a translucent color, the finish on her corset is done with a nice matte finish, which helps with the illusion of soft clothing. The use of black, grey, white with hints of purple makes those tassels of her visually striking without it being overbearing. Even her fingernails are painted cyan. Her skin itself is quite pale but it does work with this style of figure.

The body sculpt is also great. Her breasts do exhibit some gentleness, nearly tucked into her dress. Her back similarly does look very convincing. Her fingers are well defined. With her mouth open, there is some intricate of her tongue and teeth. Her frilly dress really does have that soft look. Overall, amazing job on this figure.

The base is styled to be of a shiny marble tiled floor. It does have that illusion of that very material. All in all, a very simple looking base.

This might not be the Miku figure for everyone, some may be turned off by those eyes which stares long and deep into your soul. Some might not like the pale skin color. Personally I love them, as it does stand out from the multitudes of Miku’s. Since I do quite like Miwa Shirow’s style of drawing characters. I recommend this figure of you're any sort of a fan of the artist. It really does capture that iconic style.
Any tips or suggestions are welcome. I always strive to improve. Thank you for reading.

You've solidify how much I want her. This one is one of the best miku figures in my opinion too, and I'm surprised that I haven't gotten her yet (mostly because of timing). I will get her soon enough!
Ahahah, thanks a lot mate. Go get er...
saintbe • Vor 7 Jahren • #11095823I'm not into Miku at all ... too many people collect her and there's just too much of her out there. That being said, this is definitely one of the nicer Miku figures out there.
I don't really agree on you giving the base 'only' a 7 though. I actually like the base a lot ... the marble look is really well done and looks great. They did a great effort on it ... Agreed, it's not as elaborate as some of the exagerated bases out there.
Definitely one of the more unique ones yes

Pekola • Vor 7 Jahren • #11089398I really want this figure. I'm not a big fan of Miku but this one instantly caught my eye when I saw it. The illustration really comes to life perfectly in the figure version.
Hoping to get her at some point, but dreading the shipping cost.
Get Her Now!!!:P

Miwa Shirow's art really stands out and sometimes it's good to see something you know (like Miku) made in a different way. Keep up the good work!
Thanks a lot mate, more reviews to come
