Candysan review new lootCandysan review new loot

Hi again everyone~

We had a loot some weeks ago and it was oh so delicious as usual
Some items got added after an user suggested to add certain things shed like to see, like the oreo chocolates with nuts. So I hope youre reading this~

Ok lets start~

----------------

Here is the entire loot on one picture

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459094241.jpeg
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459094115.jpeg

Now onto the items. We start with the pockys.

Damn got to love this lemon flavored pockys.
And as said on the site, lemons represent innocence, quite nice to know for this louise fan for an episode louise got referred to as lemon-chan ;)

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459095092.jpeg

Well if you expect chocolate, this wont be it. It really tastes like lemon maybe with a veeery light sweet touch of white chocolate so it doesnt taste sour but it is mainly lemon with a crunchy bite. To me it was very much delicious :D ! So in my top 3 of favorite pocky's now

Then these type of pockys.. Called adult chocolate pocky.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459094553.jpeg

They had the pure taste of the originals but a bit more crunchy as well, not nutty crunchy but just crunchy if this makes any sense ha-ha XD

Now green tea pocky!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459094549.jpeg

Well this was an one time only experience id never forget but i wouldnt buy it again. It really tasted like green tea (duh) xD so a bit fresh :) it tasted a bit odd somehow :) but did enjoy it
Its quite expensive for what you get though..
Just 2 packages and more expensive than the average Pocky

Well this one is more obvious.. Almond pocky!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459094551.jpeg

It tasted exactly like you think it will, it tastes like chocolate with nuts quite crispy, nutty crispy :) small pieces ;) i really enjoyed this one

Last but not least.. An overview of 3/4 pockys (yes i forgot one but it wasnt that interesting so let it be)

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459094776.jpeg

Now onto the oreo chocolates. Im a big sucker for white chocolates AND oreos so perfect combination!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459094117.jpeg

Well once again not much to add, just the typical oreo flavour but sweeter thanks to the white chocolate. I looooved it~

Then the macademia nuts one.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459094778.jpeg

I bought this due to an user here being interested in this being reviewed. Well I expected something exciting but was let down a bit. It kind of just tastes a bit nutella like id say lol haselnuts perhsps comes most close.. Hard to say. It was tasty but yeah nothing too overly special, but I would still suggest it :)

We are a fan of squid so we had to get these! Ok ok we actuslly ordered these many times before XD but forgot to review them >.<
There are 2 flavors, kimchi and mentai :) ika taro.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459094121.jpeg
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459094119.jpeg

Well these are reaaally tasty, theyre like dried meat and a sweet sauce added. Ok it is smelly when you open it but just try a bite.. Its tasty hnnng! Cant stop eating them XD i prefer kimchi :) which is the yellow bag

Well then we move on to the yakisoba and soba meshi

Well we loved UFO yakisoba but thought why not go for something different this time? So we went for soba meshi :) this is quite stuffing and equals a dinner at least for me.. :)

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459095096.jpeg

This kind of reminds me of bami goreng or chow mein :) but with thicker noodles and rice but the "sauce" makes it taste like that plus the added small ingredients :) no regrets buying this but sadly they removed it from their site atm..

The yakisoba squid flavour!!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459095186.jpeg
This has got to be my favorite now, i really loved it. There were small pieces of squid inside and something sweet I cant place.. A bit like figs? Anyways very tasty :) and the noodles themselves had plenty of flavor as well :) and some vegetables were inside too, damn tasty I recommend it to everyone if you dont mind squid that is.

Then.. Arabian noodles/yakisoba
We didnt know what to expect here nor what its taste was..

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459095088.jpeg
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459095090.jpeg

Instructions are on the back. You add 200 ml Water and wait 3 Minutes and done
It was a little sour ? Not too much flavour actually so quite bland.. Wouldnt buy it again most likely..

Well onto the more unique/odd stuff

Starting with fuwa latte :)

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459094780.jpeg
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459094782.jpeg

Well as you can see from the backside, you can drink it both hot and cold. I prefer hot myself :) well if youve ever tasted green tea well this isnt it.. It tastes more like the kit kat green tea chocolates, veeery sweet and white chocolate mainly with a slight hint of green tea. I did very much liked the tea

Then these sort of chocolates?
Take no Ko no Sato Green tea and milk flavour

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459094784.jpeg

Got requested by a member. They taste a bit creamy-like with an obvious green tea taste. The creamyness is the milk part.

Now, umaibos. Theyre always fun and thanks to dagashi kashi we love it even more as we are reminded of it ;)

First sugar rusk
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459094123.jpeg

Well not sure how to describe it but yeah it had that taste of sugar i guess but not overly sweet due to it still had the obvious chippito taste.

Corn potato flavor
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/Chloe-tsundere1459094545.jpeg

Damn didnt expect this one to be so tasty! It was reaaally sweet and you mainly taste corn corn and more corn :p it has a long nice aftertaste :)

Well that was it, i got beef too but discussed it before so just a pic, still tasty

dymitr (Vor 3 Jahren) #8193639As long as I can get a decently filled packet shipped under a total of 30 euro, I'll give it a whirl. I've been seeing a lot of this reviews of late and they picked my interest. I was worried though it would be a lot money for something that fall flat, but your arguments assured me it won't ^^. I think I'll start out small though, sothat it won't become a regular thing ;3
Lucky you, I'm so jealous >:D
It would be great if you can use your photos to make a small review of what you've seen to appease the longing of we, unable to go Japan due to various reasons, can profit from your experiences =3.

Well we started small too i believe an order of 25 euros or so :) plus if youre alone you dont need a huge loot ^^ we buy for 2 persons thus a bigger loot :p also good thing, candysan (at least it seems so) lowers value :D and if you dont take heavy items the shipping wont be as expensive as ours we just tend to like heavier things (melonpans and yakisoba haha) but if you dont include those but buy mainly pocky (light i believe 30 grams but good thing about candysan is that it even shows the grams at the item info) and those small things like the squid stuff we have and beef jerky then you prob will be fine :) umaibos too theyre very cheap and not hefty either ^^ ! So i suggest starting with those. onigiri herbs also leight :)

Oh I will definitly take my camera with me for sure :) thou usually chobittsu makes those type of blogs (but he apparantly blocked me) but sure I guess I coild try doing one as well ^_^ where I am allowed to that is not sure how keen japanese are when it comes to privacy matters..

Chloe-tsundere (Vor 3 Jahren) #8193534Way worse shipping alone was 20 i think i believe we paid 45-50 or so idk actuslly.. But not necessarily cheap but my husband wants to buy it anyways and we got the budget for it :) the noodles yakisoba and such are quite heavy so yeah ^^" had to even be shipped in 2 packages as it exceeded 2 kg so ^^"
Then again we bought it for 2 persons so :) split into two it isnt that expensive and still cheaper than buying it from mostcutest, at a con or at the jamin store. And I heard from a friend the food isnt that cheap in japan anyways so it is just the shipping that sucks but you prob end up paying the same for the actual products in japan.
Yes exactly it is prepacked anyways so i dont really miss anything from the environment in japan this way ;) but yeah i plan to visit japan this year with my husband so we will feel the real environment and excitement that comes with non prepackaged foods

dymitr (Vor 3 Jahren) #8193409I think I get what you're talking about. Pacakaged food does not offer the thrill of having it prepaired in front of you, where you smell the burning/baking chemicals, see the changing of textures and hear the crisping or sizzling of the bakeplate that gets your mouth watering, awakens your hunger, which makes appeasing it oh so satisfying, because everything tastes stronger than normal.
Similar to the scenerio of buying self-made syrupwaffles at a small market stand as opposed to buying the flakey ones at the supermarket.
How much did this package cost including shipping. Something within the 25-30 euro range or ...was it way worse *shrugs*

Chloe-tsundere (Vor 3 Jahren) #8193315Not to me or else i wouldnt have bought so many orders already right ;)
I do agree with you on some points.. Its less fulfulling eating special warm food like sushi, teppanyaki or dangos and such as for candy i dont have that but hard to explain why.. Cause with warm food the environment counts more like the process of it being made and taken care off and it tastes waaay better but with candy it is just as delicious and would be just the same as buying it in a store in japan :) it isnt prepared in front of you
(Tho making it yourself is fun too, i tried making dangos :) and made melonpan)
To me it feels special cause it isnt something you see here daily ok jamin offers it but expensive and not eveey jamin has it but amsterdam did :) was a nice experience (had a flavor candysan didnt have which is coconuts my favorite! )

dymitr (Vor 3 Jahren) #8193145I always wondered if eating Jcandy outside of Japan is still a fulfilling experience.
I always get the idea that without the scenery tasting foreign candy feels no more special than eating regular candy...So would you say it is true, or nothing of the sort?!
The candy looks awesome btw.

victorviper (Vor 3 Jahren) #8148227The white chocolate Oreos look pretty good.
Not long ago, I bought a case of green tea Pocky from Amazon. It was pretty good, but I got a little burned out on it after 12 boxes.

The reason im fine with diversity and sticking to 1 or 2 boxes. Even the squids got mehh after too many so next time i keep it at 4 each :)

Yeah theyre tasty :) rlly liked them

tsukky_ (Vor 3 Jahren) #8148463Hi. Nice candysan loot. You may be remember me from your previous loot post. Thanks for trying some requested items. I thought Macadamia Oreo would taste really good... Now I know I have to try white oreo chocolates first XD. From what I understood Take no Ko no Sato Green tea and milk tasted like tea and milk/cream so there isn't much surprise here.
Thanks to your loot I must try in future fuwa latte and white oreo chocolates. I may be try in future squids if they are so taaaasty XD.

Yeah fuwa latte is veeery delicioud! :) as for the nuts one, it was ok taste not bad just not my cup of tea ;) and didnt taste too specisl it reminded me of nutella XD

Indeed that one was predictable but veeery tasty :) we both loved it
And yes i do, i mentioned you in thr blog
